Internship at Small Acres can be useful for those intent on making their own practice more democratic or for those looking to set up their own democratic school. We have been blessed with amazing interns who have brought great ideas and questions. Interactions, conversations with teachers and others from across the globe helps us to form our own questions and improve our own practice.
Small Acres receives a lot of interest from teachers and other people from around the world who would like to volunteer at Small Acres to learn more about our approach to education. We look forward to welcoming experienced and new teachers as well as others to our school.
We have a limited number of openings in our internship programme and the next place will become available in September, 2016. Each place is limited to one half term, further time can be arranged at the school's discretion.
If you are interested in joining us for part of a term then please send your CV and cover letter to: email@example.com Please tell us why you are interested in democratic education and how you think the experience of being an intern at Small Acres will inform your own practice.
In the meantime we would like to invite you to attend our next parent Information Meeting if you are in London. These meetings are a great opportunity to get an impression of the school and meet those involved.
We are unable to offer room and board but we can make inquires in the community, This is an unpaid internship. As a volunteer, you still must have the right to work in the UK. Click here for more information. We require a current DBS (Criminal records check) or police records check.
